Food and Beverage Intern
Fox Hills Resort
Summer 2019

My first internship was at a small golf-centered resort in Mishicot, WI called Fox Hills. It is a little bit quaint in some aspects, but they do have times where they put on weddings and events of over 500 people as well. During my time there I worked in the kitchen of the restaurant on their campus, and learned a lot about the back-of-house operations. This really helped to round out my skills in Food and Beverage, and built on my previous front-of-house experience.

After working at the Student Center on campus for over 3 years and seeing all of the diverse events that they put on, I thought it would be the perfect place to do my second internship. I am very pleased to get to say that I am currently working with some members from the Conferences and Events staff to outline the parameters of an internship with them that would help me gain the event management skills I am looking for.
